Erin O’Toole - Conservative Party Leader
Erin is not a career politician or a product of the Ottawa bubble. He served our country for 12 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and built a successful legal career with over 10 years in the private sector.
Since 2012, Erin has served as the Member of Parliament for Durham, winning this GTA riding every election since, and during that time, has earned the respect and admiration of our caucus, party leadership, grassroots supporters, and Canadians from across the country by fighting for his Conservative principles.
It’s because of all of our candidates in this race that our party is in such a strong position. With a record number of Conservative members, they truly exemplified what it means to be a Conservative in today’s Canada, and grew our party as a result.
Congratulations to Erin as our new Conservative Party Leader!
Fundy Trail Parkway - Sussex Connector
On July 7, 2020 the Sussex Connector on the Fundy Trail Parkway opened for the first time. Rob Moore MP joined Premier Higgs and other elected representatives in recognition of this occasion. This will help get visitors from the Parkway into Sussex more easily to take advantage of the great restaurants, shops, and scenery the town has to offer.
As MP, Rob Moore was proud to have delivered over $26,000,000 in funding for the completion of the Fundy Trail. This Parkway is a significant economic generator for the local economy that helps support out great local businesses.

2020 Conservative Leadership Debate
The 2020 Conservative Leadership debates have been set.
The French debate will be on June 17th and the English debate will be on June 18th.
Make sure to mark your calendars!
Both debates will be livestreamed at conservative.ca starting at 7PM ET, so you won’t miss any of the action.
These debates are an important part of our leadership election. They will allow our Conservative members the opportunity to inform their choice, and give all Canadians a preview of the next election.
But these debates aren’t just about our leadership candidates, we want you to join the debate!
All you have to do is record a short 20-second video asking a question to the Leadership Candidates and submit it by June 10, 2020 here.
When you’re watching the debate, you may just see yourself posing a question to the leadership candidates!
We hope you’ll be able to attend (virtually)!
The Conservative Party of Canada
Postponed due to COVID-19 developments. Election Date: TBA
We are pleased to announce that the members of the Conservative Party will elect their next leader, and Canada’s next Prime Minister.
Our Leadership Election Organizing Committee (LEOC) has been working hard to set the rules, the candidate application, and other items for the leadership process, and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.
LEOC has heard from members from across Canada, and the overwhelming consensus was that our members wanted a shorter leadership election. This date will provide the right amount of time we need to successfully administer this election, while ensuring we recognize the realities of a minority Parliament.
We believe the date selected will provide an exciting and competitive race for our members and all Canadians, while ensuring an open and fair contest for all potential candidates.
With this timeline, our leadership candidates are going to have their organizational abilities tested, and be given the opportunity to show how they’re ready to take on the tough job of being Canada’s next Prime Minister.
In order to vote in the Conservative Party of Canada's leadership election, you must hold a valid Conservative Party membership. We encourage anyone interested in voting in the leadership election to purchase or renew their membership now to ensure they are eligible to vote when voting opens.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more Leadership 2020 updates with you in the future.
Sincerely,
Conservative Party of Canada
I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve in the Conservative Shadow Cabinet representing Justice and Attorney General of Canada. It will be my responsibility to hold the government accountable and ensure legislation meets the highest standards and that all Canadians rights are protected.
I look forward to my new role and continuing my work for the Constituents of Fundy Royal.
